The Rapidly "Weakening" Tea Party

2 Years Ago we were told of this bold new powerful grass roots Tea Party Movement - how through it the American People &trade had spoken and we need to listen.

Anyone hear them now?

those who supported them decided a new 400 ft yacht would be a better way to spend their money.

4. The Plutos will continue to get good value out of the Teas. They've served their purpose but aren't
gone. No way - don't fool yourselves - they were a device to keep the Republican Right aroused and engaged. The Democratic leadership and their backers saw no such need for the Left, we we just got the boot and the silent treatment. That's why the Home Team will continue to lose elections.

The point of both parties is to keep the Left -- which is most of the American people (when polled on issues) -- corralled and out of power.

3. Between elections the "funders" are not going to haul these folks around, train them &
give them box lunches.. they are only needed at certain times..

Back in Aug '09, they were being hauled all over the place to get media attention so that when the '10 election came around, they would be known enough & the dems would be sufficiently cowed by them, so the the election would be easy pickings for republicans..

It worked, dems were afraid to hold their normal meetings and a lot of them ended up out.. The ones who did hold meetings & events were shouted down by the coached tea bag people & were made to look bumbling, foolish & ineffective.

There's a presidential campaign ahead, so different tactics will be needed now.. hauling racists with lawn chairs all over, in shiny buses is probably not their plan this time.

6. What did R's expect after projecting their real goals on the backs of D's to enrage nit wits
into believing that Obama wanted to kill granny and take away medicare. Then when the R's then decided it was time to show their true intentions they are surprised that they are the only ones who love it. Same with Taxes, When the tea bagging nation learned GE paid 0 taxes while reaping huge profits, plus very little job growth, thought what the nit wits seem to miss is GE also received $3.2 billion in tax refunds, the nit wits said "hey we thought lower taxes meant more jobs", so now the tea bag nation's down to the most racist, radical, brain dead nit wits. Saw it with run away Ross back in the late 80's, in fact I wouldn't be surprised if tea bag nation weren't Ross supporters for the most part.

17. Ross was right about the giant sucking sound
and the truth is that NAFTA has been a disaster for this country.

19. He sure was.
Ross opposed NAFTA while Clinton and Gore praised it and claimed all our concerns would be addressed -environmental concerns, worker's health and safety for our competition etc.

7. Ever used a tea bag over and over? It sure does weaken.
But I think that the issue they have now is that there are so many on the left showing up in counter-protest at these gatherings.

I read about the great Teabagger event in Wisconsin with Sarah Palin speaking. The news article claimed that there were about 6000 people, but also said that there was no way to determine how many attendees were with the Tea Party and how many were protesting the event, but it looked like the Teabaggers were surrounded by protesters. Now that we are showing up too, it will not be as powerful a tool for the right. Too messy.

9. At least they didn't just take a photo from a helicopter
and say "the crowd at the teabagger rally was huge" or some such crap. That is what I expected. To give the press credit on this, the impression given was that there was more anti's than pro's. But yes, they did say there was no way to determine it.

We are now weakening the value of these nutcases.

12. Well.. the Koch-funded arm is still banging the drum, but I don't
think the parade is behind them. The ones with half a brain who had "never paid attention to politics before" have started paying attention and have turned their allegiance elsewhere.
