4. Enron VP tells Congress she feared for her life
Something else I learned from a socialist:

But media remains silent on Baxter "suicide"

Weird how fast Corporate McPravda fell on that story.

13. ENRON. It's all way in the past. For them.
For us, it's a different story.

The strange and convenient death of J. Clifford Baxter—Enron executive found shot to death

Thank goodness Mr. Martin's there to do some actual reportage.

5. The “dirty little secret” of the US bank bailout
Here's an example from way back in '08 of how poisonous things have bcome:

The “dirty little secret” of the US bank bailout

by Barry Grey
wsws.org
27 October 2008

In an unusually frank article published in Saturday’s New York Times, the newspaper’s economic columnist, Joe Nocera, reveals what he calls “the dirty little secret of the banking industry”--namely, that “it has no intention of using the money to make new loans.”

SNIP...

As Nocera notes: “Read that answer as many times as you want--you are not going to find a single word in there about making loans to help the American economy.”

SNIP...

“It is starting to appear,” the Times columnist writes, “as if one of the Treasury’s key rationales for the recapitalization program--namely, that it will cause banks to start lending again--is a fig leaf.... In fact, Treasury wants banks to acquire each other and is using its power to inject capital to force a new and wrenching round of bank consolidation.”

Frightening how brazen these warmongers and greedheads have become, seeing how there's no punishment for their myriad predations and treasons.

8. They used the $$ they got at .0% to invest in Treasury notes at 3.5% and more -- !!!
FED turned taxpayer money over to them at little or no interest --

and provided the way for them to use taxpayer money for their own profit!!

PS - - Just as an aside -- if you watch TV notice the increasing numbers of "paid

commercial" programs -- more and more popping up every day!!

The airwaves belong to the public -- we provide them FREE of CHARGE to corporations

to run programming for news/entertainment and profit. Now, with these paid commercials

they are running endless advertisements and profiting from them -- while the taxpayer

is footing the bill once again!!

22. Rescue for the Few, Debt Slavery for the Many
A few connected dots and dollars in '08:

Congress Should Bail Out of the Bailout

We the People picked up the tab to find out it was worse than a bill -- it was an I.O.U. to perpetual servitude.

7. A most compelling image.
Info I've found says it's captioned: "Dust Bowl, Dallas, South Dakota, 1936." It may be a WPA photograph, as it's credtited from the USDA. For the OP, I used a jpeg found online.

Here's details from wikipedia.
