Ammendment 28: Corporations are not People
Ammendment 29: Money does not equal Free Speech
I'll let the Constitution Lawyers work out the specific language, but you get the idea.
BTW, for those who would argue we could lose the ability to tax corporations, I'm fine with that. Many don't pay taxes anyway. I believe we need to greatly increase the capital gains tax. Why should people who make money by owning pay a lower rate than those who make money by working?

1. Republicans and Republican Third Way Democrats would never go for it. |

66 yea votes in the Senate are required to amend the Constitution.
But I'm with you, your ideas are spot on and should have become law long ago.

3. Don't kid yourself. The rightwing are about to spend billions trashing |

Democrats with well-worded and convincing lies that will believed by all the sheeple who don't think for themselves and those who are normally not interested in politics.
The right wing imploding is wishful thinking. They are becoming more and more powerful in this country by the day. They have the courts and the laws in their favor now, as well as the wealth.

I'd like to see #29 also include something to the effect that 1, only candidates for an office can run campaign ads (no external groups allowed to run ads), and 2, that states have the right to limit the amount of money spent by a candidate on a particular election. No limit on traditional campaigning, like town halls, meet and greet, press appearances (although there needs to be an equal time clause in that one).

So we don't want to get rid of it entirely
