Missouri lieutenant governor's car stolen, torched
CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. | Missouri's lieutenant governor is without his Ford Flex crossover vehicle after someone stole it, rammed it into a gun shop and set it on fire.

Lt. Gov. Peter Kinder says he was notified around 6 a.m. Monday that the Flex had been found torched on a county road in southeastern Missouri's Cape Girardeau County. Kinder is from Cape Girardeau and had been in town to speak at a naturalization ceremony.

A 20-year-old Cape Girardeau man was arrested and charged with vehicle theft, tampering and attempted burglary.

Kinder said the vehicle is "burnt to a cinder." He also says he regrets having left the keys in it.

1. In my town you get cited for leaving your keys in your car.
Even if the doors are locked, if the keys are in the ignition and visible you get a ticket.

Oh, and left running with no one inside.

2. That's a law here too
I wonder if his insurance will pay off. I think mine won't if I leave my keys in the car.

5. Kinder is a dumbass,
But sadly, given the caliber of our current governor, a milk toast Democrat, Kinder actually has a shot in 2012. At this point, the only thing that could derail his campaign is himself, and thankfully, with his travel expense scandal, and other stupidity like this, he's well on his way to knocking himself out.

8. He left his keys in the car
Which makes him a dumbass. And he happens to be a republican. Do the math. Republicans are dumbasses.
