Appearance with Rachel Maddow may cost Blagojevich

Rod Blagojevich has been warned by a federal judge about the perils of popping off to the media about his innocence, and on Monday prosecutors in the former governor's corruption trial served notice they want to use one of his TV interviews against him.

The interview occurred on "The Rachel Maddow Show" on MSNBC just days before Illinois lawmakers removed Blagojevich from office in late January 2009. The talk show host asked Blagojevich whether it would be wrong or criminal to trade his power to fill a U.S. Senate vacancy in exchange for something of value for himself.
