Libya has potential to be a major problem for Obama.

Obama could have ignored Libya, or he could flatten it. There's not much room politically for something in between. Once it was decided that we would bomb Libya, Qaddafi had to be removed for this to be a political success. So now the republicans are cheerleading the destruction of Libya. This is a political trap. If Qaddafi is killed, captured, or replaced, Obama succeeds. Anything else, especially a drawn out civil war is a failure. The republicans are suckering Obama into a fight that he's going to have a hard time winning. And he had no choice once he started dropping bombs. This may not end well for him.
