people from flying off the face of the earth...

15. +1 - Why ever would anyone at FOX think anything was needed for that purpose

I mean, it's not like the earth is round and spins.

Bill O'Reilly can't explain the fucking tide, and we pretty much had that nailed down in the late stone age.

Even Egyptians had the Nile flood nailed down better than Bill O'Reilly out banging pots and pans whenever there is an eclipse.

25. This would be a circular argument however.
Gravity is what we call something that undeniably operates but define variably as a force or an arrangement of the universe's n-dimensional geometry. Which doesn't change your point, really, but I can't help saying it because we don't know what it is, and certainly FOXNEWS would have nothing to contribute to a discussion of that.

5. I think Fox is trying to dump the crazies. Why else would they be getting
rid of Beck & Palin? They served their purpose. Ailes knows this is a loser of an issue, so they're going to try introduce Romney as the sane choice. I think Romney will eventually be the nominee, but I'd sure like to see him & Trump go head to head.

17. Trump forced the issue.
Fox would have been content, along with the rest of the serious Republican candidates, to let the idea percolate along within the base. We've seen lots of Republicans say, "well, I'm not really sure, but I understand how this could be an issue with the people..." . Trump made the issue way to hi-profile and threatened to make the entire 2012 primary about the birther issue. I'm sure Rove and Ailes realized that the time had come to get the silliness behind them. Now that Fox News has weighed in, the Birthers will be silenced on this issue. It will be interesting to see how Trump reacts to this news from the official Republican media organ.

After all, Fox News Lies all the time. Is it in their best interest to go with the truth this time? They just punched Donald Trump in the nose.. I find it hard to believe that the people at Fox would just let this go.. they love conspiracy theories and anything that has to do with hating on the left.. in fact, I am surprised their headline doesn't read..

"FOX NEWS CONFIRMS OBAMA IS NOT FROM THIS PLANET!" FOX NEWS REPORTS, YOU DECIDE!

The GOP establishment doesn't want morons who might go off script, like Trump or Palin, anywhere near the White House.

It's OK for the Republicans to court the jibbering, batshit-crazy vote, but they don't want one of them in charge.

48. So what is different that made them change their mind? It looks like Smith is saying the same old
thing that has always been said, so why is it different now - why was the stamped birth certificate not acceptable all along. Shows it is and has always been a bunch of nothing.

Wonder what Rush will have to say about it? Nothing will be official to the pubs until he give his pontifical blessing.
