3. This is coming out at a very suspicious moment, IMO. Furthermore
I have listened to too many people who have a direct
knowledge of China and China, like any country has its
problems.

Is this just another way to scare people into Austerity.
It is unfortunate that I have become quite cynical of
these reports. They just woke up and discovered this???

4. I would think we could use this for exactly the opposite argument.

That 30 years of Supply Side Economics has caused serious damage to this nation and that we need to reverse that trend by reversing that policy.

Etc Etc Etc

5. China has 4 times our population. Hard to argue they shouldn't have a bigger economy.
We have 4 times the population of Germany and 4 times as large of an economy. What we need to worry about is how to distribute that wealth equitably in our own country - something we have absolute control over and have done a terrible job at. Europe, Canada, Australia, etc. have similar per capita GDP to ours (which is 10-20% larger than those mentioned) but they have a much more equitable distribution of income and wealth than we do.
