1. The comments at that link make me sad |
|
I'd like to think that they're the product of paid comment trolls, but I fear that, no, Idiot America really does feel that way.

8. Sad but they're out there. |

One of the posts challenging the sources, yet, at the link - THERE THEY ARE!
And the posts defending the rich, as if the rich are standing on some assembly line but are rich because they could put the bolts in quicker than anyone else, rather than the fact that the rich are that way because of the money transfered to them from the lower classes.

2. I had a tense argument |
|
with our foreign exchange student last night. She said that most of the world views Americans as fat, ignorant people who enjoy McDonald's food and violence. I countered that with examples of great American pacifists, including King, Gandhi, and Jesus.
As she is from France, I pointed out that from now on, we would have "Freedom Fries" with burgers. She was still stubbornly clinging to her wounded stance. So I said that, if not for the USA, she would not have had to learn a different language before coming here: we would all be speaking German.

to use the correct spellings of great American names. Mistakes can be used as evidence of un-American intentions.

11. Of course he was an American, and so was his brother Gandhi. |
|
Next thing you'll be claiming the great American hero Joan of Arc wasn't American.
