This Huckleberry Just has a Few Questions About Nigras
I’m sure some of you have seen this before, but this 27 percenter’s statement of real American principles probably merits another viewing:

We believe in stopping their progress and starting deportations of all Muslims as soon as possible. Now, blacks. They only make up 13% of the population, but they make up 45% of the city, state and federal jobs. And we wonder why the government doesn’t work. And we wonder why blacks cause more crimes than all other races combined.
<...>If asking these questions and being good Americans makes the Tea Party members racists, well I guess this huckleberry is just a racist.

22. Errrr - I reread my post and I just realized that you might think...
that I was referring to you as Capt. Head up his butt, which I wasn't. I was referring to the self described huckleberry from the OP. My apologies for any problems I caused by my bad use of grammar.

11. I've only heard it in the movie Tombstone - Val Kilmer's Doc Holliday refers to
himself as a huckleberry.

I believe it's supposed to be a countrified term meaning a simple-seeming person with unperceived depth/strength - in the case of the OP, the unseen depths are probably additional layers of racism and stupidity...

13. A variety of possible meanings.
19th century slang which was popularized more recently by the movie Tombstone. Means "I'm the man you're looking for". Nowdays it's usually used as a response to a threat or challenge, as in the movie.
"Who thinks they can beat me?"
"I'm your huckleberry."

I'll be your Huckleberry" was used most recently in the movie Tombstone. Doc Holiday told Johnny Ringo, "I'm your Huckleberry", meaning he would play his game, whatever it was.

Others say it refers to Huckleberry Finn's loyal friendship to Tom Sawyer, i.e., I'm your huckleberry, means I'm your loyal buddy.

Yet others posit:
"Huckleberry" was slang for a rube, a hick, a sucker, someone that a "huckster" separated from their cash, the guy that stepped forward from the crowd to get skinned by the guy at the three-card monte table.
A "Huckleberry" would be plucked of his goods, or like the real berry, picked from the bush. So if one would say; "I'm your Huckleberry." he was saying that he was ready to play whatever game you wanted and, perhaps, the results would not be what you intended.

16. I LOVED drawing Huckleberry Hound when I was five years old!
He's cool. And so was Yogi Bear and Boo Boo.
And El Kabong and Quickdraw Mcgraw and Underdog.

I like intellectual cartoons.

Excuse the thread hijack. :hide:

18. Huckleberry another name for

During the great depression the term Huckleberry was used in speech and print form by the wealthy elite, flappers, newspapers and pulp writers of the times to denote someone from rural agrarian origins of low intelligence and low net worth.

The common man would just say I am a hick from the sticks...

God for some reason I now feel really really old...

Gawd. Sorry sometimes I'm not so good at satire but I think this is. It's pretty much how I see the teabag party.
