Maher: ‘I will stop calling them teabaggers when they stop calling it Obamacare’
Source: Raw Story
By Sahil Kapur

Bill Maher went on yet another rant against the tea party movement Monday night, calling them “sad unfortunate people” who are “corporate America’s useful idiots.” The comedian and HBO host said he’d “have more respect for them if they knew a thing.”

“I don’t have any respect for the teabaggers, and I do call them teabaggers, even though they hate it,” Maher said during an appearance on David Letterman’s show. Then he made them an offer: “I will stop calling them teabaggers when they stop calling it Obamacare.”

CBS silenced out the word “teabaggers” each of the three times Maher said it.

1. That was great! I saw it last night, but I wondered why did they edit out 'teabaggers'?
I didn't get that.

These were the ones who were for Dubya when he was at his lowest and would still vote for him if they could.
That's who the Teabaggers really are, sore losers and whoever else was/is silly enough to fall for that baloney they spew and vote with them.

2. why do they hate the name teabaggers? It is the name they created
and showed off how much they liked it by walking around with teabags hanging from hats and body parts.

3. It's ridiculous to edit it out. Whose ears were they trying to protect?
Children have no idea of the double meaning, and many adults don't even know--which is why they named themselves that in the first place.

7. The media edits it out to kill the use of the word, because they don't
want the ignorant teabaggers showing off their ignorance by proudly proclaiming "Yeah, I'm a teabagger!"

That's our liberal media for you.

10. I stopped calling them teabaggers long ago.
You need balls to teabag someone.

I also refuse to call it the TEA Party. That isn't a party, political or celebratory.

They're teapers. Just another fringe group that we have every right to stick an "er" to. Birthers, Freepers, Threepers, Truthers...Teapers.

Just like the logic I use when I have to explain why I won't use the word "terrorists". They aren't terrifying. They're assholes and chickenshits. I call them international or domestic criminals and murderers.

We need to revisit our labeling system. Too many of our labels give credit where absolutely none is due.

12. Would suggest the term "Obamacare" is used only in a blatantly derisive
context. :patriot:

14. It has been called Obamacare since he was elected. You want people to call it Bushcare instead?
Sorry, but Obama and the democrats in Washington get ALL the credit for this disaster.

Their "solution" to the healthcare crisis was to stick a gun into the faces of the poor and force them to buy infated, overpriced, useless healthcare from billionares. They didn't give a fuck if the poor couldn't afford it. They didn't care what it cost. They don't care if people cannot afford to pay for their house, or food, or car, or fuel. They could not care less whether you have a freaking JOB.

Obama believes there should be a law forcing you to buy health insurance. Buy insurance or the government will destroy you. Fuck him and anyone who defends this.
