1. The people in the area are in my thoughts. A tsunami of wind can...
...bring just as much destruction, especially given the condition of this meteorological event.

6. Looks like tomorrow will be worse for you.
My mother will be driving past you in a few hours on her way to Arkansas from North Carolina. She is trying to make the Alabama border before stopping for the night. Her sister (my Aunt) died yesterday. I will be calling her with updates since she will be driving into the worst of it tomorrow.

8. oh crap -- of course it will be at night too?
DH throws papers, and he went in between storms last night, only to find the power out at the warehouse. I'm always terrified that I'm going to get the call that he's wrapped the car around a pole, after being caught in one of these storms...

9. Sure is reASSuring
that we don't have to concern ourselves with the complication of "global warming". I know I felt the need for a long-sleeved shirt this morning, so there can't be any global warmin' going on!

:sarcasm:

11. Glad my area of AR is only getting severe thunderstorms.
We're not in the significant tornado risk zone up here in Northwest Arkansas -- we've just been trying to hunt down materials for an ark over the last week. Have had three people call in this AM because even though the rain stopped last evening the roads to their homes are still flooded.
