DU distracted, misses the opportunity.
My post on the Progressive Caucus Budget might be the most important thing I've posted in a year. Maybe ever.

http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=439x966230

However, DU gives it a mere +2 rating, while my post on Waukesha County Clerk Kathy Nickolaus recusing herself from the Wisconsin recount is plus 19.

http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=439x966255

Admittedly the Nickolaus story is a juicy one, and budgets are boring....

BUT COME ON PEOPLE this is our opportunity to support a plan that's the antithesis of the Paul Ryan grandma killer.

7. I've posted on the Progressive Budget off an on
ever since I heard about it a couple of weeks ago. It amazes me how many people even on DU had not heard about it. It's actually a PRACTICAL document that balances the budget FASTER than anything we've seen out of Washington.

Sorry Scuby that your post didn't get a lot of recs. It IS important.

8. I have been Replying here and posting elsewhere stuff about the CPC proposals
especially the tax proposals, ever since I first saw it about a week ago.

Glad you feel so strongly about it; I am/will be supporting every day or so.

12. It won't get much love on this board. It doesn't have Obama's stamp of approval so many will not
want to see or hear of it. It's an interesting budget and scores higher by the CBO than either Obama's or Ryan's.

Sadly, it will get the usual excuses like "Republicans won't vote for it, so there is no need for Obama to support it."

This is whining about lack of recs.

22. What do the number of Recs have to do with how important a post is?
Answer: absolutely nothing. You actually started a new thread to complain about another one of your threads not getting enough Recs? Wow! Kicking a thread is much more important than a Rec which expires 24 hours after the OP is posted.

There are DUers who can post anything, no matter how important or good the thread may be, and get 50 Recs. I wish DUers would stop obsessing about Recs. So the number of Recs has nothing to do with the quality or importance of an OP.

28. That's what usually happens. I seen people complain with the 1st response
about how dare someone UnRec the thread and then it goes on to get over 100 Recs. Too many DUers obsess over UnRecs.

26. The "progressive budget" is interesting, but it has 0% chance of passing
Even if the Dems controlled the house by 50 seats.
