What are the chances? (a sidebar to the story of missing young woman, Phylicia Barnes) |
|
Teen Phylicia Barnes was missing since December. Her body was found late last week in the Susquehanna River. On the same day, a man's body was also found in the river, a few miles from where her body was found.
Tonight, the man was identified as from Richmond, VA, with a history of suicide attempts, who had checked himself into a hospital much farther upriver. He disappeared from the hospital after threatening to throw himself off a bridge.
Apparently he did just that, although it is yet to be officially confirmed.
Meanwhile, while Phylicia Barnes' remains have been positively identified, he cause of death remains officially unknown.
What are the chances that, on the same day, two missing persons' bodies turn up in the same vicinity, in the same river, and are completely unrelated events?
Wow.

1. Maybe she tried to stop him from jumping by grabbing onto him and he took her with him. |
