OK, so Obama is about to formally introduce into the public consciousness a document... |
|
...that most of the country was never in doubt of, and the remaining minority aren't going to believe anyway.
My guess? This is a little political theater. Obama better have one hell of a speech ready--but the good news is, in situations like these, he almost always delivers.

2. I suspect some pollster in his office did the numbers... |
|
...and decided they had to do this before the issue spread any further.

5. Simple: This freshens the debate about it's authenticity, idiots will continue to argue over it... |
|
It's brilliant really, as a way of making them all look even more irrational.

3. What Other President... |
|
has ever been compelled to produce a birth certificate? On one hand I want them to shut up about it but on the other hand, how messed up is it that THIS president has to show the certificate? On the third hand, the more the republicans whine about stupid things like this the less they look like legitimate alternatives for leadership.

4. I would have let the right ride that conspiracy theory straight into oblivion.... |

The vast majority of Americans know better, regardless of what they might say to a pollster.
