"That font wasn't available in typewriters until 1964!!!"
See, that's why.

I've never had a president spend so much goddamned time trying to please the people he could never please while doing so little to please those he could easily please.

6. I'm trying to recall a more politically-insecure move in my lifetime.

Can't recall any.

The host on CNN actually said something to the effect (speaking to the reporter on the scene) of "Did you ever, in your life, expect that one day you'd be standing outside of the White House holding a copy of the President's birth certificate, proving he was an American citizen?"

And that says it all.

2. Exactly.
When people do not want to be convinced, you can't convince 'em. So there's no point. They are going to disrupt no matter what.

4. A hypothetical next line of objection from the birther crazies I'm guessing
Edited on Wed Apr-27-11 09:12 AM by kenny blankenship
I'm predicting they'll go a different route - like just denying the existence of Hawaii as a state of the Union at any time prior to 1972. It was not a state really, not in the same way that for example Nebraska is a state. Huskers, now those are some real Americans. Think of Hawaii. Does your mind's eye conjure up any Corn Huskers or Hoosiers - besides a few bright red blobs on the beach? You see, Hawaii was actually on probation from 1959 to 1972, when they got the final blessing to become a state from Nixon in a top secret Executive Order. No you can't look at the Order - you don't have the clearance to read Nixon's top secret EOs! So Hawaii couldn't possibly have conferred citizenship on Barack Obama, thus making him still bl thus making him ineligible to be President of the United States.

5. Or the validity of the signatures or "It wasn't called Kapiolani Maternity & Gynecological....
...Hospital until the spring of '63!" Really, though, you're right: It doesn't even have to make any sense and they will latch onto it.
