In a word, wow. I cannot believe she's walking up stairs so soon. I'm awed by her recovery. I hope she keeps up this pace and regains a more normal life again as soon as possible.

KHOU-TV (Channel 11) has posted video of Rep. Gabrielle Giffords boarding a plane at Ellington Airport for Florida.

Giffords arrived with a group of people - including a nurse from TIRR Memorial Hermann - in a dark-colored SUV around 9 a.m.

The vehicle drove right up to a waiting NASA plane, and Giffords -- guided by a second person -- walked up the stairs into the aircraft.
