I noticed that years ago in the Army. Everything was anal. Up your ass with a buzzsaw, your ass is grass, a case of the ass, get your shit together, etc. At the time I just figured it was an interesting validation of Freudian stage theory, what with all the obsessive concern with barracks inspections, dust, spitshines, starched uniforms, etc.
