4. Based on that thing on his head, he's definitely a form of vegetation.
I'm going to go with the plant, "poison dick wad".

After all, he has created an itch that the GOP can't scratch.

Its a burning rash. Which apparently grow louder and more uncontrollable when exposed to lights, particularly TV camera lights.

5. Trump made Pres. Obama look weak. Reelection? You must be kidding.
Voters want a strong president. Despite his lecturing, Pres. Obama looks very weak.

12. That's the best you've got?
Really? Or are you kidding?

Kind of anti-climatic for an account that was created way back in 2001. One would think you'd have learned a thing or two in the past decade.

16. Okay, attack me. But the point is this: The president looks weak.
This is another poorly handled affair for this WH. The certificate should have been released years ago to minimize this birther foolishness.

And there is plenty more this WH has fumbled.

19. No. The birthers were doing no damage to Obama. Quite the opposite actually.
Edited on Wed Apr-27-11 04:31 PM by Lone_Star_Dem
If the President wanted to play politician he should have just let them have at it. It was by far to his best political advantage in 2012 to let them carry on with their nonsense until near the end of the campaign. Instead it was a distraction from real issues which currently need to be addressed, so he decided take away their current favorite toy. Which will of course force his opponents to find a new one. Which may very well not be so easy to deal with.

20. Actually, Pres.Obama says the birther issue has been a distraction delaying the solving of problems
Pres. Obama himself plainly stated the birther silliness has been a distraction to those who responsible for solving our country's pressing problems. You need not minimize the birther nonsense. Certainly, the president didn't minimize the consequences of it when he spoke today.

21. Actually, as I said, the Birthers were doing no harm to Obama
As Obama said the issue had been dropped by the press until just again recently. Did you listen to the press conference?

23. Wrong again. This meme just started back up, and much to the birther's dismay was swiftly dealt with
To put the distraction to rest. You do realize that last week is when it dominated the news right?

He nipped it in the bud. Even though it was in his political better interest to let it go on.

28. The point is still the same: This should have been addressed long ago.
And by a low level WH staffer so as not to give importance to Pres. Obama's distractors.

29. No, that's the point you're trying to divert this to.
Look back, that's not what we were discussing. Nope, sure isn't. However, I'd love to hear you explain why you feel that way. If you'd care to enlighten me?

Then there's the fact that a "low level WH staffer" would have had no ability to access the document. But hey, why mess up you're whole attempt at diverting the discussion with a few meager facts, right?

10. Repubs are looking for the next sacrificial lamb to throw up...
ala Dole in 96 and McCain in 08.

They got nothing.

Obama is as much of a shoo-in as a politician can be.

That's not to say we don't have work to do, but it's his job to lose right now.
