I operated without a Birth Certificate for over 55 years. |
|
Armed with only a Certificate of Birth from the State in which I was born, I somehow managed to obtain a Texas Driver's License, get into and out of the U.S. military, obtain a U.S. Passport, travel hundreds of thousands of miles by air (post9-11) with an expired driver's license accompanied by my Certificate of Birth, vote, get a CA Driver's License (without having to take the Driving Test despite the fact that I had not possessed a valid I.D. for years and have never parked parallel in my life) and all kinds of other crap.
When I went to get a new passport to replace my expired document a clerk at the Post Office noticed that my only I.D. was a Certificate of Birth and was not good enough documentation for a new Passport.
So I called above-mentioned State, told them my name and date of birth. They asked for my mother's maiden name. I gave them a cc# and had an official Birth Certificate in a couple of days.
Do I have to give back all of my frequent flier miles, Mr. Trump?
Can I get back those years when people were shooting at me?
I will wait for your reply on my Evening News, HairBall.
Your friend, Sonoman

2. I Once Took Care of a Jewish Professor |

who was born in Germany before the war escaped without bringing a birth certificate.
Many years later, with a degenerative disease and unable to work, he said to me: "The government won't give me assistance because I don't have a birth certificate. So they'll wait till I die. Then they can give me a death certificate."

I never even knew there was a difference between a "certificate of live birth" and a birth certificate until Mr "hair wrap around man" made his foray into the land of stupid...
I pulled my husband's birth certificate, mine and our daughters out--he was born in NY so he has a "birth certificate" my daughter and I have "certificates of live birth" I am 47 and have never been questioned about being born here throughout many jobs etc--WTF? STUPID!

7. There is NO difference. They are two different names for the same thing. |
|
They are both BIRTH RECORDS, and when filed with the state, they are OFFICIAL.

There really is a difference in some states.
I think the difference is BS.
But there is a difference.
