JERUSALEM — Support for the Obama administration's use of Predator drone aircraft in Libya is coming from a top Republican, Sen. Lindsey Graham of South Carolina.
Graham says Predators should target Libyan ruler Moammar Gadhafi's aides. Graham told a news conference in Jerusalem on Wednesday the goal should be to "go after Gadhafi's inner circle. They should wake up every day wondering, will this be my last."
The U.S. military has started using Predators to hit the Libyan military, cutting reaction time between spotting a target and striking it.
Graham said toppling Gadhafi would be the best way to end the Libyan conflict.
He said "the more pressure we can put on Gadhafi's inner circle using air power, the more lives we will save, the quicker this will come to a conclusion."
