Orlando SentinelNEW SMYRNA BEACH — Wednesday night's town-hall session by U.S. Rep. Sandy Adams featured shouting, interruptions and strong disagreements about the federal budget.
But the 100-minute-long session remained mostly civil, even when it was obvious audience members couldn't agree.

Proposed changes to Medicare that aim to limit the federal government's future costs infuriated one veteran, who offered only one emotional statement before storming away: "Why are you unwilling to tax the rich? Why is my son fighting as a Navy Seal for you to take all our benefits from us? I'm 82 now and a disabled vet."
Adams tried several times to bring the conversation back to her main point: "It's not a tax problem. It's a spending problem."

Democrats did not need corporate funded lies such as death panels to get people to these town halls. The truth was enough.
