So Trump is now the Repub. frontrunner?
Edited on Thu Apr-28-11 11:17 AM by leftyladyfrommo
Ahead of Huckabee by 9 points?

I am flabbergasted by this turn of events. I absolutely hate Trump. He is such a blowhard. And a troublemaker.

I guess it really makes it pretty plain what the Repubs are really like. Racist, rich white guys. Anti everybody else on the face of the planet. Their stand against women is horrific.

And has any other president ever been subjected to what obama has - to prove he is actually a US citizen? That is just plain awful.

I am getting so discouraged - like I just want to run away to the mountains and live on berries and nuts. And just forget about this awful mess. Can't remember ever feeling this down.

1. I've been there also.
I found not worrying if what you do has an effect is best, since the effect many times you can not see.

That is part of Jedi fighting blind also.

You don't do for the effect, but becuase the method is best, and sometimes you may have an effect that you just don't see.

And trying to do what you can, even if it is just a smile to a friend, or a kind word while at work or around people. I try to keep in mind of the flap of the wings of a butterfly changing the metaphoric weather, and think that no kind action or thoughtful feeling choice is in vain.

Look at the depth in these songs, although not perfect, they still can inspire and help to think on topics.

Loreena McKennitt- Beneath a Phrygian Sky

I don't know if story tellers and singers know the comfort they provide in simple stories, even if not perfect. In the same way you may help people in ways you don't even know.

4. I LOVE This
And I never thought they could come up with a candidate as shit-all stupid and totally beatable as Sarah Failin. See, that's where I screwed up. I underestimated their incompetence. That slate of potential nominees is so bad that I really think Osama Bin Laden would have a fairly decent chance of securing their nomination.

5. buck up
i feel that way sometimes too, but...there is work to do.

the same people who voted the republicans in just a few months ago are getting buyers remorse in a big way. more people will continue to read the writing on the wall and come to their dawn of understanding. and these ferocious fascistic fuckers will not get their way. but we need you to make sure of that.

7. He'sThe Ideal Republican Candidate

1) He's too stupid to know what he's doing, why he is supposed to be doing it, or how stupid and hypocritical he looks (and too rich to care).

2) He genuinely has no regard for "little people," so he's not likely to deviate from the interests of the oligarchy.

3) He has an ego big enough to fill all the senior positions in the government (Pres., VP, cabinet members, etc.), which will save lots of money and avoid the embarrassment of contradictory statements from different administration officials (the contradictions would all come from one person).

4) Organized crime will be provide him with protection, saving money on the secret service budget and proving the efficacy of privatization.

5) He's certain to be elected when voters find out he will have access to the presidential barber.

8. If you run to the mountains, you will have to fight
the bears and squirrels for the berries and nuts. Better to stay where you are and fight for what is yours.

9. This will make you feel better: Donald Trump gets slammed in latest PPP poll
Donald Trump would likely lose in a number of swing states, according to the latest poll from Public Policy Polling.

Mr. Trump, a potential Republican presidential candidate, would likely lose in Nevada, a key primary state, where he receives just 32 percent support amongst likely voters. Thirty-two percent of voters in the state have a favorable view of the real estate mogul, while 59 percent view him unfavorably.

Mr. Trump’s level of support rises when polled amongst Republican voters, where support for the potential Republican presidential candidate hits 51 percent, while 37 percent have a negative view.

In other primary states, including New Hampshire, North Carolina and Iowa, Mr. Trump’s favorability drops off a cliff. In New Hampshire, just 23 percent of independents have a positive view; in North Carolina just 28 percent, and in Iowa only 29 percent.

Read the rest, it's totally funny. :D

Oh, and note all these polls were done before the big foot-up-his-bum he took yesterday.
