Oh boy, this is rich: Repugs say outrage over Medicare is not 'genuine'

(Bloomberg) U.S. House Republicans pushing to overhaul Medicare dismiss the vocal opposition some have encountered from constituents as orchestrated by political foes.

The Republicans, who have spent much of the two-week congressional recess fending off questions from voters about the proposal, say they are standing by the plan, a cornerstone of the 2012 budget measure the House passed April 15 on a party- line vote.

They’re blaming much of the criticism voiced at town-hall meetings, which sometimes turned raucous, on activists dispatched by MoveOn.org and other Democratic allies, even as some of the lawmakers have taken measures to control the tone of forums.

“This is not genuine anger over Medicare; it’s manufactured political anger that’s causing the disturbances,” said Representative Lou Barletta, a freshman Republican from Pennsylvania. ...............(more)

8. Karl "Turb-blossom" Rove is about to unload a bunch of cash to Candy-Coat Ryan's Medicare Turd
Probably has a good chance to work with low info voters.

Our job is to make sure the low info voters get more information.

12. We need to be talking this up wherever we can.
Seriously. It's important. Tell people you talk to what the Ryan plan actually means to their lives, their parents' or granparents' lives. Don't let the GOOPers get away with this crap.

13. And the votes against Repukes in 2012 won't be "genuine," either.
Actually, if the Repukes get their way, millions of "not genuine" Americans will be kept from voting then.

15. Why wouldn't they think that?
The opposition to the Healthcare was ginned up on their side, I can believe they think both sides are the same.
