Starting in 1979 you had to register with the selective service. I know. I turned 18 and within six months I had to register with the selective service. Not the draft, just the SS.

...and somewhere still have the draft card...actually going to the local draft board. I thought they stop registering after 1974-75 until 2001...when my son had to register but by mail. Thank you for the correction.

Still...if Obama turned 18 in 1979 I wonder if he had to register. But then I'm not gonna lose any sleep on this...I'll leave that for the birfers to run themselves crazy (and I'm sure they will)...
