Question for Statistics Geeks: Are Retirement Living Facilities Included In New Home Start Figures? |
|
I'm thinking specifically about the independent living/assisted living combination complexes.

Then again, there are various types of “retirement” communities. There are age-restricted communities with health personnel in the neighborhood, but those aren’t retirement homes, and those would be considered “single family dwellings”. Retirement “homes” that are basically residential hospitals are probably counted as businesses, hospitals, or apartments. They certainly aren’t dwellings.
