LINCOLN, Neb. — A Lincoln police car was damaged when a suspected drunken driver backed his car into the cruiser.

An officer pulled over a car a little after 2:40 a.m. Thursday, suspecting the car driver was drunk. The driver pulled over, but when he tried to shift to park, he put it into reverse and backed into the cruiser.

Damage to both vehicles was estimated at under $300. No injuries were reported.

Police say the driver was taken to a detoxification facility and cited on suspicion of drunken driving. — AP

1. "Sir, have you been drinking tonight? I don't know ociffer."
I know a guy that actually said ociffer once. He was following his wife home after both had been drinking. She got pulled over almost in front of their house. He, a retired Naval aviator, parked in his driveway and walked over and said, "is there a problem ociffer?" You can guess how that worked out. Good thing he was also loaded financially.
