On Rachel - Lansing mayor Virg Bernero, on MI move to "privatize, profitize, corporatize" schools
Catch the reruns or the video online if you can.

The segment starts with Rachel talking about audio from Eclectablog of Benton Harbor's emergency manager boasting of his power. You can also find that here:

http://www.eclectablog.com/2011/04/benton-harbor-is-city-weve-failed.html

Bernero and Rachel point out that the EFM law allows these managers to be paid by corporations at the same time they're being paid by the state. So you could have an emergency manager brought in to run a school district who's employed by the charter school corporation that wants to take over.

And this setup for corruption is on top of the basic "privatize, profitize, corporatize" move -- predatory corporations going after the school system.

1. Virg really gets it.
Michigan voters made a big mistake when they passed him up for governor.

3. Doesn't matter if it's legal or not
These people don't respect laws, and do remember it was the Supreme Court that made corporations legal persons and gave them the right to buy elections and recently said it was cool for them to block class action lawsuits against them.

Our government is totally and completely broken.
