With all due respect to to the DU rules about mentioning other sites that shall not be mentioned, it's time we called them out. In a thread purportedly about how stupid I am, our parallel universe site openly, happily refers to our president as "the jug-eared Muslim" while slamming me for supporting him. Come on...they're not even trying to hide their racism anymore. Why do we try to pretend the racists don't exist? They're there, and they're mocking us. Why can't we call them out for their blatant racism?

"Jug-eared Muslim" certainly qualifies as an insensitive, intolerant statement. Muslim is a religion, so it really isn't racism. And, if the person saying it is simply being a prick, he may not actually be a racist.

Racism comes from within, and we have no way of knowing. Let's attack the use of the words and leave racism out of it.
