2. Abide, Dude.
I wore my bathrobe over my jeans to Sonoma Market, today.

Somebody's gotta do it.

8. and...
I was riding my '66 Vespa with all/steel Indian (Cozy) sidecar.

Sonoma joke:

Three guys, one from Napa, one from Marin, and one from Sonoma walk into Steiner's in Sonoma.

The guy from Napa plops down a super-magnum of Silver Oak's finest bubbly.

"I'm from Napa and this is on me!"

The guy from Marin dumps a quart-sized baggie of cocaine on the table.

"I'm from Tiburon and this is on me!"

The guy from Sonoma drains the magnum and snorts the coke in one fell swoop.

The Napa and Marin guys ask "What the fuck?".

Sonoman replies....

"Hey, man, it's Sonoma".

You'd have to live here...

My Mercedes isn't runnning and my Porsche's in the shop
My hot tub filter isn't working and Coke dealer has stopped
I got the blues
I got the Marin county blues.

It goes on and on.

Been there, done that.

16. Ha!
Fairfax, Forest Knolls and Inverness for me.

Nowhere quite like Marin.

I've been in Sonoma for the last 10 years though.

"Well there is a literal connection."
"Face it Walter, there isn't *ANY* connection."

11. People in the real world seem to range between apathy and revulsion.
Edited on Thu Apr-28-11 10:38 PM by pa28
A large portion of Americans are living their lives scared, broke and worried their children might not have a future in this country. For them saturation coverage of the royal wedding is about as welcome as a bad case of the flu.

12. caught 30 mintues of "news" whilst at breakfast this morning....
Edited on Thu Apr-28-11 10:41 PM by mike_c
I don't have a television so I never see any of the cable news weirdness. Anyway, the "news" was a LONG report titled "Countdown to the Royal Wedding" with correspondents in London, big graphics, and all the trimmings. Actually made me long for the days of missing white girls and runaway brides. Now THAT was gripping journalism, you betcha....

Anyway, I was appalled by the amount of time, effort, and money being expended on this latest manifestation of bread and circuses.
