Poll question: Poll: Are you watching the Royal Wedding?
Just curious as to how many people are caught up in this "event"?

1. I just talked with someone at work...
A manager decided it would be a good idea to turn it on in the Lobby and do a spread with danish, kringle, muffins, coffee and fruit. One person showed up. The workers who had to do the set-up are not pleased.

And, if the Brits have money to subsidize THAT family, they have money for university students.

And it's fun to look at the weird hats.

31. I just almost died laughing. Dear God Piers Morgan just told the whole world about
this woman's extreme cocaine habit! So bad she had to have her nose rebuilt. Just did it last week. AMAZING. And he said it as matter-of-factly as can be. Just making conversation. OMG!

I tell you that alone just made the whole morning! Hilarious!

The hats were all outrageous! Hilarious! Ridiculous! Wonderful! What a hoot! SO worth it! Every woman I know is gonna be talking all hats today.

13. It's not worth the energy to object...
I'll just say that there is no such thing as a good monarchy, and that the social philosophy that recognizes some people are royal and others as common is pretty REgressive.

22. I thoroughly enjoyed the trumpets when the Queen entered the cathedral.
That's impressive as hell.

Of course the choir was glorious.

But I could only take about 10 minutes. The cameras focus on famous couple after famous couple. The only ones I recognized were the Queen and her husband and son. I had to ask my wife which one was the prince getting married and whom the man standing beside him was.

I'm so ignorant. Poor me.

What is it about this fairytale crap that turns even some of the most sensible women's brains to total mush?

I should have added male or female to the yes or no responses. I have a hunch that the majority of "yes" votes might be female and the majority of "no" votes might be male?

41. It's strangely compelling
I think the idea of royalty should be anathema to any American, but I still find myself fascinated by it. I figure it's because I love history and tradition so much, coupled with the fact that William seems to be quite a likeable young man.
