Can you name one thing they do not lie about??
Yes, all politicians lie but it seems to me that Republicans should have a category and status all their own?

6. I have never seen a more dishonest group of people in all my life. (I'm 61.) |

But of course, it's only "logical" (there's that libtard word again). The republican party represents the 2% wealthiest Americans and NOBODY ELSE. These are their true constituents, not the poor saps who live in their states or districts and keep voting for them, like chickens repeatedly voting for Col. Sanders. The republicans work 100% for the super-rich people who finance the lying TV ads that they use to bamboozle the public.
If republicans didn't lie constantly, they would get 2% of the vote in every election and would have no power! (O happy day.) Fortunately (for them, not us), a high percentage of the American public consists of uneducated, angry, hyper-religious, racist fools who are easily manipulated, Luntz-style, by the podmasters at Fox "News" and right-wing hate radio. Lacking the ability to think clearly and critically, these poor sods fall hook, line, and sinker for every single Fox/Limbaugh lie. (50% of Americans now believe we found WMDs in Iraq. Gee. Where on earth did they get that idea?)
By lying to gullible, ignorant people (their natural base), republicans are able to get 30% of the vote reliably, and under some conditions (like those present in 2010) are able to actually WIN elections, despite their explicitly un-American profit-before-people policies. But have you noticed? As soon as the republicans actually take over they immediately become TREMENDOUSLY UNPOPULAR.
If the gubernatorial election here in Ohio were re-held today, the millionaire Wall Street asshole man-child we so foolishly elected would lose in a landslide! But now it's too late. And that's what they are counting on.

7. The Art of The Lie is key to political success for EVERY politician |

Edited on Fri Apr-29-11 06:15 AM by HereSince1628
If a person doesn't understand this, she/he will always be surprised to be disappointed.
The sense of mental wellness for the governed depends upon understanding that nothing said by politicians or groups of politicians can be trusted beyond the limits where that statement is obviously serving the interest of the politician(s) involved.
