not a citizen. Donald Trump hold a press conference proclaiming that he is very proud to have forced the Man of Steel to acknowledge his lack of papers.
Trump holds a press conference and proudly proclaims he is delighted that Superman will now have to proclaim that he is pledge only to Truth and Justice and will leave "the American Way" to those who were actually born in this sector of space.

It doesn't matter if he is able to leap a building in a single bound.

I did hear about it. Superman should be a global hero. (Superman is clearly an immigrant in a noble US tradition of immigrants enriching our country. Kal-El, son of Jor-El should be recognized for his amazing contribution to American life and welcomed into citizenship, but maybe he should also do the right thing and get his citizenship the old fashioned way.)
OTOH, perhaps his service to this country could expedite his application, as it should for those who have risked their lives for this nation.

Superman was created by Joe Shuster, who was born July 10, 1914 in Toronto, so Superman has Canadian citizenship. When Superman first appeared, Superman's alter ego Clark Kent worked for the Daily Star newspaper, named by Shuster after the Toronto Daily Star, his old employer in Toronto. (Joe Shuster is a cousin to Frank Shuster of the old Canadian comedy duo of Wayne and Shuster)

15. Depends on the continuity, actually |
|
During the Silver Age (roughly from the revival of the Flash in 1956 to Gwen Stacy's death in 1973), it was the story that the Kents found him and took him to an orphanage. Bot on their way home, they had second thoughts so they turned around, went back and adopted him. Since he was adopted by American residents, he's considered a citizen.
It was retconned (rewriting history, comics do it all the time) during the Bronze Age (roughly from the death of Gwen Stacy to Crisis On Infinite Earths in 1985) that Clark had been loaded into a "birthing matrix" (artificial womb) as a foetus back on Krypton and continued gestating during the trip to earth. So he was "born" in a Kansas field so he's a citizen. Then the Kents found him and took him into the local hospital, claiming that he'd been born at home during a recent blizzard (rural Kansas, remember) and got him registered that way so he'd have a birth certificate too.
Superman's history got retconned again during Infinite Crisis a few years back and the current story is that Clark was born on Krypton but he's also a US citizen. It's unclear whether they're going with the orphanage story or the blizzard story to explain that. Also, he was awarded citizenship by Kennedy and Reagan's amnesty for illegal aliens would presumably have covered him too.
Besides, it's not clear if the story is in-continuity and even if it is, Clark is still retaining his citizenship (which could make for some interesting stories).
And yes, I am a great big geek :)
