Papers please...
The more I think about the President *having* to show his bc the angrier I get. I don't even know if angry is the right word, I go between that and tears.

I was raised in a multi-racial family. And yes, at times life was difficult, but I think that made me a better person. My marriage is inter-racial and my children are bi-racial. They've dated all races, it never mattered.

I thought our world had changed, and I guess it has, or we wouldn't have a President Barack Hussein Obama. BUT, it seems like we still have a long way to go. Much further than I thought.

The president was basically asked for his papers. His fucking papers!!! He's the damn President of the United States and he was humiliated. You can hate his policies all you want, but if you're not outraged by this you should be ashamed. Every republican every democrat, that stood by and allowed this without outrage should be ashamed. IMO.

I know it was his choice to show the bc, but I don't think he really had a choice. This is what was dominating the news. Now, they want his college transcripts. Why? Because he couldn't possibly be intelligent enough to attend ivy league colleges.

The night President Obama won the election I cried. When he showed his bc, I cried. Each time for very different reasons. I look at my dad and wonder how it makes him feel that although we elected a black man (bi-racial) as president, he still isn't good enough. He still treated like a second class citizen. It breaks my heart.

Sorry for the rant, but I needed to get that out.

4. Well, any illusions I had...
about a bigger changes, were shattered. It makes me very sad. A big step forward, only to be kicked back 4 steps.
