Missouri instructors say they were threatened after posting of misleading video
A University of Missouri-Kansas City labor studies professor says she’s been bombarded by “ugly e-mails and scary telephone calls” since a political website posted what school officials say was a doctored video suggesting she supports union violence.

In response, UMKC has posted uniformed police — and others in civilian clothes — in and around Judy Ancel’s classroom, said university spokesman John Austin.

A second instructor shown in the video, Don Giljum, said he has received two death threats since Monday, when the video appeared on Andrew Breitbart’s Big Government site.

Giljum has since resigned as adjunct professor at the University of Missouri-St. Louis.

1. thank you for posting this
Mr. Giljum has been the Business Manager of IUOE 148 for 27 years. My husband is the Vice President/Head Steward of 148, has known Mr. Giljum for over 20 years and has the greatest amount of respect for him. Mr. Giljum has been planning his retirement from the union for several months so this was not a recent or hasty decision on his part. I appreciate this article as it does share facts instead of the b.s. we are hearing from the company (Ameren) my husband works for. Coincidentally, the union is currently involved in some heavy-duty contract negotiations - go figure.

2. And the idiots post comments in support of it all...

doesn't bother them in the least that Breitbart edited the video, or that people are getting threats because of it.

What the hell is wrong with people that they don't fact check before judging?

And what the hell is wrong with anybody who would support Breitbart's tactics?

4. They are denying he edited the video
One of the professors changes clothes in the middle a sentence! But no, Kiebart didn't edit the video!

5. the fact that
IUOE148 is currently involved in some very messy contract negotiations w/Ameren makes me wonder about the time line of all this.
