I've been thinking about this demand for Obama's college documents.
I understand what the far right thought they could get by "proving" Obama wasn't born in the country, they wanted to remove him from office because they claimed he wasn't a citizen, but what excuse could they possibly have to obtain his school records?

Fortunately for GWB, there's no clause in the constitution that requires any particular grade level, and even if he got a pass, or in a worst case scenario, lied to gain admission, there's no election do-over pending. Obama passed the only IQ test required of our presidents when he won the electoral vote in 2008. Once again, why would the right think they have to investigate on behalf of "the people"? Are they "just wonderin'?

Demanding his grades, which has nothing to do with his job description, is akin to telling the president that they need something to bash him over the head with to prevent a second term, and they want him to grant them a all season fishing license to find some little anomaly that they can amplify and distort into "the biggest scam ever perpetrated on the American people"

Once again, it's time to ask these birthers what they hope to do with this new information they're demanding. Remind them that they can't impeach him for anything he did in college, and ask them what the end game really is. Curiosity isn't a good enough reason.

History shows us that medical records, documents generated when he was a lawyer, and his wife's paper trail is next, none of which he can be impeached for.

2. McCain showed that grades
don't matter. Only who your parents are.

Or if he even went to college?

5. Damn this is so obvious i am at a loss to explain why
it is strange

Excuse the language, but this is what this is about. You see, in the eyes of the racist quarters in this country, and not limited to the right by the way... you got an uppity nigger in the white house.

Do I really need to translate it that coarsely?

8. Indeed, but once again, it isn't impeachable.
They can't even lie or pretend it is. Other than smearing him and writing a bad history chapter on him, his grades and college papers are worthless.

Tonight, Andrew Brietbart said since the "media" didn't vet the president before he was elected (I guess he doesn't watch Fox News), he wanted to do it now. We vet our candidates to educate the voters before an election, after they take home the votes, that phase of the process is over... even if they didn't vote for him.

9. It's sad. They used to dream so big.
You know: Bill Clinton had Vince Foster killed because they once had a gay love affair and Foster threatened to talk about it, and Hillary demanded his head on a plate while she danced in the nude. And don't forget about all that money Bill and Hillary made from a crooked land deal in Arkansas in which they lost money. Or the one about how Bill Clinton raped Juanita Broderick and a sealed indictment from long ago was about to resurface any day now.

They used to know how to really go crazy.

12. Yep. For Bill Clinton they went after his weakness.
The only weakness they can find with Obama is that he is black.

11. They can't find anything about his past or present to hound him on.
But there's nothing there, so they have to make up shit.

Obama is a good & decent man. He loves & is loved by his family. He honors that love.

Obama is not only well educated, he has the intelligence to back up that education.

To put salt in their wounds, the President is a friendly & likable guy. He has a sense of humor, & a heart of gold.

They have only two things to drive the fear & make the backwash of America go crazy - he is a Democrat & he is black.

Edited on Sat Apr-30-11 01:42 AM by pnwmom
The one that he applied to Occidental and/or Columbia as a foreign student from Indonesia or Pakistan. And that he got a special foreign student scholarship which will come to light if they can only get hold of his records.

These people will never ever stop dreaming up these foreign citizenship scenarios. They can't accept that he legitimately occupies the Office of President. And they never will.

15. It's not just about his grades, but also if he benefitted from Affirmaive Action programs/policies
Most are not saying so but Pat Buchanan let the cat out of the bag the other day, actually screaming at Chris Matthews about "why don't you want to know if he benefited from Affirmative Action or not?????"

18. They really want proof he got a scholarship for foreign students.
Depending on the rumor, they say that he applied to Occidental or Columbia as a foreign student from Indonesia or Pakistan.

This would mean that he had lost his U.S. citizenship, in their view, and so is tied into the birther movemen.

19. Breitbart was also going on about wanting to see what classes he took--to see if they were
taught by "radical" professors, or whether he took courses in subjects that would show he has what the RW would consider to be inappropriate views.
