1. I just want BBCA back.
The 24/7 royalapalooza made it unwatchable over the past week.

I think we can safely say that everything that could be said about it has been said about it, although I'm sure they'll be compelled to fuck up tomorrow's programming again so that people who worked for a living today can tune in and see how the other 0.05% lives.

2. No ... That wedding is still going on ....
And will go on for weeks and weeks and weeks ....

You will suffer for many months on end ....

Years ....

You will suffer that awful wedding for years and years and years ...

You poor thing .... I feel so sorry for you ....

Living with that cynicism for your whole life ...

4. Aww. how sweet. My "Special" Place in Hell.
Feeling affronted by mass worship of these living
icons of privilege & wealth is not the same thing
as being "cynical", but obviously such distinctions
are utterly lost on you.

18. You know ?
I haven't seen a bit of it .... Know why ?

I dont plant my ass in front of a TV all day, waiting to be entertained, or satisfied by somebody else ...

While I would agree that the harmful disparities between the very wealthy and the very NOT wealthy needs to be changed - Crying about a televised wedding really doesn't change any of that ...

But if it makes you feel better ? ....

7. The Whitehouse Washington Correspondents Dinner will be shown
on some of the cable stations (MSNBC I think) on Saturday evening. That should give you a break, if you're interested in that kind of thing.

20. I watched some of it
thoroughly enjoying the change of pace -- a gorgeous, joyful, optimistic event that seemed very popular with the people of that country -- compared to the doom and gloom that we're saturated with. Once in a while, witnessing something good and happy is necessary for my psyche, and as an American, the politics of it all was none of my business. When I'd gotten my fill, I took a walk and then read a book. BTW, I'd much rather watch a royal wedding than the crappy 'Lock-up' type shows.

21. Different strokes for different folks.
Glad so many "commoners" were able to enjoy genuflecting to the Royal icons of wealth, power and privilege.

Just not my thing.

To each his/her own I guess.
