DU, I really, really need your help. PLEASE....

I hate to beg, but I am indeed begging. I'm not here much these days because, amongst survival-related tasks, I am desperately working to connect and gather people at Wishadoo!

The more who gather...the more good we can do and achieve, together.

Two rather huge things happened last week that I'm really excited about and I think many within this DU Community will appreciate.

Wishadoo! was named a CHARTER FOR COMPASSION PARTNER. (Please sign if you visit the link! :) )

Also, Rabbi Lerner of Tikkun and Network of Spiritual Progressives -- the same group which created and are now asking for endorsements for the ESRA (Environment & Social Responsibility Constitutional Amendment, which I and others have posted periodically over the last few months) -- are interested in working together. (Please sign if you visit the link!)

A few more wonderful collaborative/partnership connections have been made as well -- like EQUAL EXCHANGE (pioneer in the Fair Trade Movement), so I am very, very hopeful.

The UN has established 2012 as The Year of Cooperatives, and I'm trying to get Wishadoo! established as a partner for that as well.

Here is my plea -- and it's only a plea for those who are able, NOT for others like myself for whom every $10 expenditure must be given very careful consideration. I appreciate those who want to help financially, but can't -- so I beg of you not to feel bad about it AT ALL. If you could simply recommend this and keep it kicked, that would be a HUGE gift to me. :hug:

For those who CAN help -- either personally or through your company or another organization which may resonate with what Wishadoo! is all about -- I would very, very, very much appreciate help with a fundraiser SPECIFICALLY FOR WISHADOO! I have a contractual obligation and other legal issues that must be fulfilled by the end of June and, quite frankly, I am hoping DU can help me.

I'm starting to panic a bit but have to keep putting one foot in front of the other, trusting all will be okay, recognizing that SO MANY are struggling and suffering in myriad ways. That's what propels me to keep putting one foot in front of the other...to try to affect change, however I can.


At present, the only source of revenue is for people to create listings in THE COMPASSION PAGES and/or sign up for an upgraded membership, though the basic tools at Wishadoo! will always be free. If you have any interest in this, or know someone who may, please let me know. :)

I don't plan to have a lot of advertising -- just a few key partners, of integrity -- but until people gather, I can't move on to pursue that.

BTW, I've mentioned it before, but there is a private DU Group and a private WISHLIST for DUers at Wishadoo! When someone at DU needs something or has something to offer, there is no need to bother Skinner and the admins. I have permission to share Wishlist posts here, to enlist DUers' help.
