Pakistan MPs slam US drone attacks

Pakistani lawmakers have once again condemned the unauthorized US drone attacks that have claimed the lives of many civilians in the Asian country in recent months.

During a meeting of parliamentary committee on national security, lawmakers from all major political parties urged the government to adopt a decisive and strict stance toward the US to convince them to halt the drone attacks, a Press TV correspondent reported on Friday.

The members of the committee reiterated that the government and public are of the same view regarding the strikes and consider them as violation of the country's sovereignty.

The Lawmakers said US-Pakistan relations will get back to normal only when the unauthorized drone attacks come to an end.

1. It's a shame that the US has so little respect respect

for the sovereignty of other nations, or for the lives of innocent people.

I thought we were changing that when we elected a Democrat. It was one of the most important reasons for doing so after the Bush years. But it looks like we were fooled as was the rest of the world who had hoped to see this kind of hubris and criminal activity end.
