Got my vaccine this morning!

Our Walmart has the new version. Going through the usual side effects, tired, a slight fever, etc. I’m in New Mexico fwiw.

Good vibes requested. My grandmother is dying. Update: She passed away :(

She’s 91 and is in a nursing home. No known cause of decline other than old age. She’s in a coma-like state and sleeping deeply. Her hands are still warm but she’s been without fluid for four days now. I imagine it’s not long before she passes.

She was a great grandmother. We had a tradition of playing the card game Uno since I was 5, up to a few years ago (I’m 41 now). She would read the Beverly Cleary books and Laura Ingalls Wilder books to me before I could read. When I visited she always had my favorite cereal Cocoa Pebbles and Juicy Juice fruit juice.

Update: As I’m writing this post, I received the call that she passed away. RIP Grandma, I love you.

Anyone have any tips or secrets to making authentic gumbo?

I’ve never had Cajun food and I’d like to try making a gumbo. Anyone have any pointers?

Just found out the after the Medicare premium increase, my monthly check will go up a whopping 88 cents. Whoopee!

This was his last presidential vote and I’m sure he wanted to exit this life knowing his beloved country was in good hands. Sadly, that didn’t happen.

Looks like we lost primarily due to low Democratic voter turnout

Trump seemingly didn’t gain too many votes. It seems it’s always low turnout that dooms us. What more could we have done? By all accounts, Kamala had a great ground game.

Did they ever call New Mexico?

Anyone seeing parades of Trump vehicles?

I live in Silver City, NM and was in Las Cruces this morning and saw a train of Trump vehicles going down the street, waving flags, honking their horns. When I got back to Silver, the same was happening here. Very obnoxious. When they passed my street I went out and flipped them off lol.
