Hartmann - The GOP Will Not Stop At Abortion. Contraception Will Be Criminalized In The End.

With the notion of "personhood" and "Human life At Fertilization" and Trump court will eventually jail women and couples for using what are not common forms of birth control. Some churches even suggest the NO method of birth control is allowed. Sperm and egg MUST be allowed to unite. The "Handmaid" scenario is at our door step. Miscarriages will be investigation with suspicion. If you think that such a situation cannot happen all you have to do is look at the laws in he post Civil War era.

These radical churches even want covenant marriage, no divorce laws and previous adultery laws to be part of the legal landscape. They support the idea of sexual policing just like the Taliban or ISIS. Hyperbolic you say. Perhaps it is. But if you look at the rhetoric, recent GOP laws sponsored or passed, and the power of religion to warp science and consciousness you would be remiss to ignore what is going on even right now. Trump has made his goal clear. He would welcome a unanimous SCOTUS on these issues.

We are in the eleventh hour. Trump has promised the religious right everything.

As to what is considered "acceptable" in this country, that I have no doubt that it will continue to descend to the very depths beyond imagining.

Stephen King has said he couldn't have conceived of a character as awful as Trump. When the most successful horror novelist of all time says something like that, you know it's for real.

Thom Hartmann is right. When Donald Trump gets his Supreme Court pick ratified, he basically can do whatever he wants, which coincides with what his paymasters want. And his paymasters aren't into reproductive choice for everyone, because the paymasters can always "take care of it".

They get abortions, too.

That doesn't stop them from voting to abolish them.

You're projecting reason, logic, and fairness onto a bunch who are incapable of -- and uninterested in -- those things.

Unless they are the Duggars, most people don't want 19 children, nor do they want to be celibate.

Everybody needs to mind their own damn business.

LOL at myself - when I first typed "Duggars," I hit the "F" onstead of the "D" so it showed up "Fuggars." I thought about leaving it.

shots & any barriers to 'birth' and criminalization of those who are considered to violate rules, as we are seeing with women, immigrants, minorities, LGBT, liberals and other targeted groups.

No abortion or birth control and criminalization also means more funds $$$ for police, LE, jails and private for profit prisons. And fewer voters because people are incarcerated or have a criminal record. Possibly jury duty, I'm not sure.

It's all part of the extreme rightward plan of authoritarian regression and oligarchy.

The far right church belief in marriage with the man at the head of the family, and women in the traditional subservient and dependent role is standard.

Has always thought the pill was immoral! "It encourages sex outside of marriage."

Now, both her 30-something grandsons live with their g.f.s! No ones gives a rat's if she disapproves.
