just hours after Trump bows before Putin.
Coincidence?

(17,668 posts)it's not happening right now.
I see reports from all over the site crashed.
Can't wait to hear the cause.

(175,781 posts)A little retail therapy might do me good today.
BumRushDaShow
(130,278 posts)I just about do "retail therapy" almost every damn day and was trying to avoid this day. Me and my sisters laugh about all our Amazon deliveries.

(175,781 posts)Some of the prices on items on my Wish List are down, but they're there for birthday and Christmas presents. This is supposed to be something for me.

(32,112 posts)It's not completely down. If you shop in an individual department, rather than on the "Prime Day" page, it works fine.

(82,849 posts)Phew, I was worried that the network news programs were going to have to lead with Trump's obeisance before Putin. But there's a relatable story for Americans: A website crashed, and it was one a lot of people have used. After these messages, we'll be back with more about ordinary Americans watching helplessly as the little progress circle keeps spinning and spinning and spinning. If there's time, we understand something happened in Helsinki today, and we'll devote 10 or even 12 seconds to that. But only if there's time.

(14,565 posts)This thread is hilarious. Made my day. I'm trying to imagine going through life like that, believing that exactly the needed number of votes in specific states are flipped, and an online giant crashes due to something said in a Russian summit.

(102,607 posts)I almost NEVER shop at WHOLE PAYCHECK, but if you got their app, bought something for $10 or more, you got a $10 credit on Amazon Prime for use during their prime day event.
I already knew what I was going to buy (an item costing a big $10.99) so, I guess I made out pretty well. I just have no patience to go through 200 pages of "PRIME DAY" crap... especially with it running so slowly today, so that's my big purchase!
