Local billboards feature GOP with Soviet hammer and sickle

Anne Landman, the liberal blogger and local author, decided to make a public statement about President Donald Trump and his recent meeting with Russia President Vladimir Putin.

The sign some motorists probably have already seen shows the GOP on an all-red background with the "O" replaced with a Soviet-era hammer and sickle.

"I bought the billboard myself for a week purely out of my own level of outrage and frustration over Trump's secret meeting with Putin in Helsinki," Landman said. "The things he did and said, trusting Putin over the conclusions of all of our own country's intelligence agencies, blaming Americans for Russian cyber attacks on our election, making secret agreements, offering to consider handing Americans over to Putin's intelligence agents to be interrogated, it was just unbelievable."

Landman said she has since received numerous donations from others around town to expand the billboards for a few more weeks.

In a variety of districts, thanks to the Mad Dog Pac. Which funds its resistance/protest efforts through donations and merchandise sales online.

This week they started selling 3ft+ Baby Trump inflatables, a smaller version of the UK's balloon. They've driven flatbed billboards in DC in endless loops every week and were scheduled this weekend for a giant plane banner--IMPEACH NOW--to fly over Atlantic City and shore points. They've also buzzed Jim Jordan's district with an appropriate RESIGN banner.

And the billboards keep going up. Good one on them!

as 'trump the traitor', traitor trump, key word being 'TRAITOR', etc, here at DU, and wherever possible. In the same repetitive way that trump uses crooked Hillary, fake news, etc. etc.

Pound the repetitive 'traitor' image home, incessantly! Just like the above local billboards.

Print on adhesive paper and plaster them everywhere.

UPS has great blank labels for things like this. They are approx. 8.5 x 5.5

I am not kidding. There is already a lot of gunfire out here in the country, and I don't want it aimed at me, my family, my dog, or my house and/or car.

And yes, it feels really awful to live in a place like this. All White, All Right.

My Bernie bumper sticker couldn't go on the car because of that. Instead, it is on my fridge.

I am considering getting the coffee mug, though. I wish they'd offer some other dog t-shirts, too.

what that symbol represents? Unfortunately, our side continually overestimates what the voting public knows and understands.

Today the Russians have no communist laws or philosophy. They're actually closer to the Nazis now, as in fascism.
I really wish they hadn't resurrected this old symbol, they should have used a swastika instead.

Just sayin'

If this was done in the 50's or 60's even, after a Republican President and others in that party were caught colluding with Russia/USSR, it would be devastating. Today, millennial GOP supporters have no memories of Communist USSR. They only see another white power, LGBTQ hating, misogynist, racist, regime to ally with.
