Excellent question. I was wondering the same thing.... I mean I've actually had to go on a payment plan in the past! And, I know others who have to deal with tax issues and situations immediately.

The Republicans have gutted the IRS, which I am sure is a payback to the rich donors for making audits less likely. Donnie is using his lawyers to stall and confuse the service. The code related to real estate is difficult enough with valuations subject to interpretation, allowable expense deductions, depreciation expense and recapture, with Donnie's political pressure, who knows what they are doing.

Only the middle and lower middle classes. their rational is that it takes too many manhours to audit the complex returns of the wealthy, so it costs considerably more than the audits of the lower classes in time and money.
