Hell has officially frozen over, and not just because of the weather
The weekly email from my erstwhile Representative (Kay Granger, TX 12) popped up in my email this morning. She focused on the rollout, and the organization of immunization distribution here in Texas. Nothing partisan, nothing about legislation or other things she is doing in her own position.
This letter was only about the immunization management across the state; she had nothing but praise for the efforts of all involved. There is even a (veiled) support of prevention methods. She did not actually say "Wear a mask" but the inference was there. A very informative graphic was included, with information about registration in this county.
. I learned a few things about what is happening outside our district ( I knew what was happening here, and how well things have been handled.) It appears our governor has for once done the right thing to the benefit of everyone - urban or rural.
Usually I don't read these emails because they are about things she has done. This time I am glad I did; there will be a bit of crow eaten today in our house.
She takes no credit for anything this time; this message is all about the efforts of others.
For once, the efforts are unified across the state with support for the work being done at the local level, instead of hanging everyone out to dry. I knew about the local effort and the expansion of distribution points. Statewide, new centers have been opening in both rural and urban areas.
At this point the only big issue is supply.
Holding my nose to say 'good job' to whomever took charge of this and ran with it.
