(9,953 posts)after shot my arm was itching, then I noticed a HUGE red wring about 4" x 3". I was actually concerned about that. I marked it to watch if it grew. It did a little then the next day it started decreasing in size. Weird.

(6,700 posts)I had nearly the same.
Shingles shot was worse though.
Shot #2 I had a slight headache and low fever for a day.

(9,953 posts)so many symptoms with that one I am kinda scared. I have never had flu so some of the things people talk about has me pondering. I like you symptoms best. I can do slight headache and I have no idea the last time I had any fever, but figure a slight fever is not a big deal.
Thanks.

(6,700 posts)A teeny achy. Not sure if I cared about food. That feeling I can't explain that makes me put my hand on my head. The craving for an orange. A big nothing but the same thing I get the day before I am officially sick and makes me have to remember where I put that thermometer so I would not lose it again.
My norm is about 97.1 ish and I got up to 98.7 . Fine the next day.
Keep the faith. If our arms reacted the same maybe the rest will too.

(115 posts)a week with the Pfizer. I have read that with both shots some have reported from 2 days to a week. Got sore and peaked in 3 days and then slowly went away during the next four days. Wasn't bad just a little sore.

Now, the second dose: I was nearly bed-ridden for an entire day with fatigue. Also only lasted one day.
Totally worth it...

(1,601 posts)My arm was very very sore for three days. On the second day I had some heart palpitations.
Second shot was almost a week ago. Slight sore arm but nothing compared to the first shot. Soreness only lasted a day. The first evening after this shot I had about an hour period of feeling like I was coming down with the flu. My face flushed and felt a little feverish. Then from one moment to the next those feelings were gone!!
I was really pleased the side effects were minimal!
Good luck everyone, I hope your experiences were close to mine if not better!

(11,885 posts)Had no soreness but slight redness for several days.

(7,510 posts)Second day, faint sensation if I pressed on it.
Compared with the Age-Related Macular Degneration injection into the left eyeball the previous day, it was nothing.

(51,090 posts)and hot and red. An area of about 3 inches long and 2 wide around the shot. It showed up on day 5 after the shot and went away after 5 days.
It's not particularly common to have this, but it isn't rare. And it's no big deal.

(7,289 posts)I recently had shingles shots and (two separated by a month apart) I experienced a bit of soreness but you know it went away in a couple of days. Same with Tetanus.
Moderna, just about zip.

(4,555 posts)With some residual pain even now on day 4 if I press on the area.
I normally have pain after flu shot and I premedicate with a Benadryl for anticipated pain, swelling and redness.
Only got bare swelling and no redness with this shot.
