We need a $15 minimum wage, and reconciliation is the only way that we can get it.

Biden deployed VP Harris to WV to compel Manchin’s support for the ARP. That worked, but more pressure will have to be applied if this pattern of obstruction continues. Again, we have a number of options.

Any suggestions on who to donate to? I give to Jose Andres' World Central Kitchen on a regular schedule. Anything you are seeing on the ground there that would be a good place to donate?

We still don’t have running water, but we hope to by the end of the day. The high temp is expected to be 43 degrees. That’s plenty to thaw us out, but our PVC pipe for water coming in to the trailer is busted. Mercifully, the park crew is working on that now.

Thanks for asking.

if the parlimentarian said it couldn't be in the bill. He is also opposed to that level minimum wage but this bill would have lots of stuff in it so who knows what his vote would wind up being.

Keep pushing everything helpful to working people and families possible, let the Repubs howl and scream about it.

The voters can then decide in 2022 and 2024 what they prefer.

NOT that it is that shocking for me to be ignorant of any given thing...but Senate Parliamentarian is kind of a significant entity to know absolutely nothing about, including its existence.

Makes a lot of sense, though. It two sides are dug in over a particular issue, there needs to be an arbiter. I don't know why I never considered that before.
