Trump Regrets Not Naming Ivanka, Eric, and Don, Jr., to Supreme Court

WASHINGTON (The Borowitz Report)—Donald J. Trump said on Monday that his “greatest regret” as President was his failure to name his three adult children to the United States Supreme Court.

Appearing on Fox News, Trump said that Ivanka, Eric, and Don, Jr., would be “way better judges” than “those three clowns” whom he did name.

“Gorsuch, Kavanaugh, and Barrett are the worst people who have ever worked for me,” he said. “And that includes Scaramucci.”

When the Supreme Court was deciding whether New York prosecutors could obtain his tax returns, Trump said, “none of those three boneheads even called to ask me what they should do. No gratitude whatsoever.”

He said that “laws needed to be changed” to keep Supreme Court Justices from “thinking for themselves.”

“This should never be allowed to happen in our country,” he said.

And I do know that Borowitz is popular here, so I always check to see if the latest has been posted yet. As Skinner famously said, "Good DU citizens check for duplicates," so I make a point of it.

He treated the responsibility of public office just the way he's always treated everything in his life, did whatever he felt like at the moment - whatever he thought would benefit him personally.

“Gorsuch, Kavanaugh, and Barrett are the worst people who have ever worked for me,” he said.

I could see him thinking and saying this, because it was apparent that he did see the justices (and everybody else he appointed) as "working for him." I'm sure he saw those 3 as well as all the federal judges he appointed as "his" judges and expected they would always find in his favor if the need arose, because they "owed him" for appointing them. That's the kind of blithering idiot he is.

This is one of those cases where satire comes dangerously close to reality.

The Orange Maniac needs to go back to the 7th grade and take Introduction to American Government. I recall he told one official he wanted to fire Gorsuch after he strongly disagreed with one of that justice's decisions.

This clown does not understand the basics of government. That's even true after four years in the top position in the federal government.

Appointing his three children would not only be disastrous and insane, but it would be more notorious nepotism than any thing he actually did while in office.

That's right. Not Mike Pence. Not Chris Christie. He wanted Baby Doll to literally be his successor.
