12. A Trumper said this to me

Just prior to the 2016 election, I went golfing and was paired with a fellow who was very vocal in his support of Trump. There are many arcane rules in golf but one unwritten rule is to never talk about politics or religion.

This guy thought Trump was awesome: He was rich, handsome, married to one of the most beautiful women in the world, brilliant and witty, had his own plane, had his own buildings, had is own TV show, etc.

Since I've ben unfortunate to have watched Trump since the 1980s, I was a bit flabbergasted by this man's sycophant behavior. When I suggested we keep politics off the course, unsurprisingly, he became more belligerent. His closing remark about Trump was that he was also a great golfer who owned the world's best courses.

It didn't surprise me that this fellow cheated one way or another on every hole we played even though we had a gentlemen's match underway. (I still won by one hole!)

13. As I understand it, it's the fundraising company that did the fraud

The donors saw that their credit cards were being hit for multiple payments (unwanted charges) and they called Visa or Mastercard and complained. The charges were removed and Visa/Mastercard took the losses. The fraud claims have been filed by the credit card companies to recoup their losses.

I'm not sure what happens to all the poor saps who never noticed the fraudulent charges on their monthly credit card invoices. They may not get reimbursed, unless the credit card companies have contacted them and pointed it out to them. (Not sure if that ever happened, and I'm guessing that it didn't.)

Yes Chump is ultimately responsible for what the fundraisers did in his name. But I have no doubt that he turned deaf and dumb to this issue while it was benefitting him.
