(7,737 posts)pruning, etc? How is that different that owning a rental house in the US? If you don't have a tenant, you are still responsible for upkeep of the property.

What's worse, this drives up the cost of housing for everyone.

(91,055 posts)Are they all on an automatic irrigation system? Or does this area of China have buckets of rain from every direction? Those unmaintained gardens are very lush.
As for the mosquitos pfft. Keep your window screens in good repair. Yeah, that would be annoying. If there were more residents, you could bring up mosquito abatement at the HOA meetings.
